I began my media career in the Coachella Valley in 1980 as Continuity Director for KPSI AM/FM Radio in Palm Springs.
Within two-and-a-half years, I was named Program Director of both stations. I was part of the number one and (still) highest rated morning radio show in the Coachella Valley, The Bob & Bill Show. As Program Director, I earned the station’s all-time highest ratings and served on the ABC Radio Affiliates Board.
Following that I was mid-day radio personality and Executive Marketing Director for KCMJ AM/FM Radio.
During my tenure at ABC-Affiliate, KESQ-TV3, I served (at various times) as a producer, account executive, on-air weatherman, Director of Promotions and Public Relations and Creative Services/Production Director. I earned several awards for creativity in television promotion while at KESQ, and, while in sales, grossed $250,000 in advertising sales in ten months; being named Salesman of the Month, eight consecutive months.
As chief producer for the Entertainment Programming Group, ltd., I produced 238 half-hour programs about the Coachella Valley called Desert Living & Entertainment, as well as 26 half-hour shows for The Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf and several other video projects for numerous clients.
Video projects included a half-hour program for The Camelot Theatres in Palm Springs, CA; the award-winning Coachella Valley Enterprise Zone Authority video; a five-minute drowning prevention video for the Cathedral City Fire Department and a six-minute corporate video for Angelview Crippled Children’s Foundation.
Recent National Awards are The 20th Annual Healthcare Marketing, four Communicator Awards of Distinction, the Communicator Crystal Excellence Award, the Communicator Gold Award, five Telly Awards, seven Videographer Awards of Distinction, the Videographer Award of Excellence, two Davey Awards, two MarCom Awards and The 25th Annual Classic Telly Award, for commercials produced with the past 25 years and the 30th Annual Classic Telly Award.
Live television experience includes over 35 telethons for United Cerebral Palsy, the Arthritis Foundation, College of the Desert and the Muscular Dystrophy Association, most as Producer.
Recent projects have included 13 programs of The Desert Home Show, 13 programs called View of the Desert, 98 monthly half-hour programs for The Dennis James United Cerebral Palsy Center and 84 monthly half-hour programs for The Arthritis Foundation.
I also served as Executive Producer for the PBS Series: Discoveries in Alternative Medicine for Windsor Productions in Palm Desert, CA, which included a seven-part series for The American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, another program on Qigong Grandmaster Effie Poy Yew Chow, and one on LifeWave Energy Patches.
I’m honored to be able to produce award-winning television shows for my non-profit clients as well as some award-winning TV commercials for businesses.
Now I have turned my focus to writing and have nine titles available on Amazon.com.
